Embrace this digital future or die (20 September 2022)

If you work at an asset manager, a global custodian bank, a fund administrator or at a financial market infrastructure.

Future of Finance is pleased to announce an invitation-only event to learn about a new operating model for the asset management industry and its service providers in global custody, fund administration and financial market infrastructures.

“We’ve been stuck in the same investment process for a generation. This is a chance to define a new and much better process for the next generation of investment.” An asset manager COO

The event will open with a presentation by Dr Ian Hunt, author of Digital Issuance – An Optimal Model for Digital Assets and Transactions, which is described by one asset management COO as “a complete re-design of what we do, let alone how we do it.”

The presentation will be followed by a discussion, moderated by Dominic Hobson, co-founder of Future of Finance, between the specially invited audience, Dr Hunt and leaders of the asset management and securities services industries.

When is it being held?

Tuesday 20 September from 16.00 hours to 18.00 hours, to be followed by cocktails and canapes.

Where is it being held?

The event will take place at:

The Walbrook Club, 37A Walbrook, London EC4N 8BS

Why attend?

Asset managers are under margin pressure. The obvious answer to the problem is to cut costs but the usual methods of economy – outsourcing, offshoring and automation – no longer work.

Now asset managers are passing that margin pressure on to their service providers and especially the global custodian banks, where revenues have increased but profits are also declining.

This is why a growing number of asset management COOs and heads of global custody have reached the conclusion that tinkering with their operational model is no longer enough.

They think that, if the asset management and global custody industries are to continue to deliver value to their customers and their shareholders, they need to completely reinvent what they do.

To find out why so many of your customers, colleagues and competitors now think this way, check your Inbox and accept our invitation to this exclusive event.

It is your chance to discover the future of your industry, and to engage directly with the people that are shaping it at asset management firms and global custodian banks.
